Justin Gatlin is an American sprinter. This sportsman tested positive for forbidden products in 2006 and served a ban of 4 years. It was determined that he had applied testosterone. Since his 4-year ban is over, this sportsperson was waiting to be accepted back. But it seems that he doesn’t know the laws linked with the return to the world of sports. An athlete who has served a certain ban due to intake of performance-enhancing medicines doesn’t return automatically. He\She has to admit publicly that it was a great mistake; he\she has to apologize “with tears in his\her eyes” that he\she has applied performance-enhancing preparations
But this American sportsman intends to do things his way. The American sprinter confirmed that he had never taken prohibited medications intentionally. this athlete confirmed that he had tested positive for steroids because a revengeful masseuse had used a testosterone cream during a massage. In fact this explanation was taken from a Lance Armstrong’s book. Justin Gatlin has not changed the Laurence’s excuse at all in more than 5 years.
Since Justin Gatlin didn’t admit administrating steroids publicly, sports reporters interviewed him many times. He was asked whether he was going to admit administrating forbidden medications. Once it has been made clear that the American sprinter had applied banned drugs intentionally. It was during an interview made by a reporter of New York Times. Justin Gatlin noticed that he would admit using anabolic steroids intentionally in exchange for a hug! Can you imagine it? The reporter told the sprinter that people would hug him more, if he admits. Nevertheless, Justin Gatlin remained “invincible”, asking: “If I say it right now, are you gonna give me a hug?”
Since Justin Gatlin has already the support of the USA Track and Field (USATF), it is supposed that this American athlete will never admit using prohibited preparations. It is not clear why he has got the support because Jill Greer, the spokesperson for the USATF, notes that USATF doesn’t support athletes that have ever taken steroids knowingly. Such sportspersons must be ignored, according to USATF. The case connected with Justin Gatlin displays that the affirmation of the spokesperson is not practically respected.
