If you blame steroid users, you should also demonize those that use sex stimulants and anti-aging remedies

Journalists frequently write articles about those that possess unnaturally increased muscles and strength. Reading their statements, you can see that those who take anabolic steroids and/or other related preparations are harshly demonized. Such persons are criticized in the society. They are named “cheaters”. It is said that those that administer steroids for athletic needs may get addiction to these preparations. Numerous articles also contain information about probable negative results of steroids. Although some unwanted reactions appear in steroid users, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by consumers of steroids. It is claimed that steroids may lead to uncontrolled behavior which results in crimes. However, so named “roid rage” connected with these medicines is considered to be a controversial issue.
A lot of individuals say that usage of anabolic steroids for increase of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat burning is a moral issue. Let analyze! Is this statement free from hypocrisy? Why are just anabolic steroids demonized? Do just these drugs make the society unnatural? Let analyze other aspects of the society! What do you think about sex stimulants? It is claimed that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are proper products to get rid of such problems. Moreover, what do you think about preparations for anti-aging needs? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are methods to hide your age? Models and actors take several medications but they are not named “cheaters”. Students take several medications in order to increase their cognitive abilities. They are not demonized too. Several scientists that have conducted certain researches affirm that those that apply steroids for increase of physical capacities are more harshly demonized than those that apply certain preparations to enhance cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our world is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you demonize consumers of steroids in this society? May you affirm that usage of steroids for enhancement of physical performance is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to demonize steroid users, don’t forget about other conditions in the society!
