Kidney disorders occur in those that use steroids improperly

Anabolic steroids are often blamed for different diseases of users. Of course, these products may lead to some unwanted reactions. Nevertheless, anabolic steroids are often demonized without any reason. It is affirmed often by the media that these preparations cause different health problems, crimes, deaths. But it is necessary to understand essence of these preparations and see when these medications should not be demonized.
Let analyze two cases. One of the situations is related to the former American bodybuilder Flex Wheeler. Another situation is about another former bodybuilder Luke Wood.
The former American bodybuilder Flex Wheeler experienced kidney disorders. This man submitted to a kidney transplant. Since he took anabolic steroids, the media decided to blame these products for kidney failure of Flex Wheeler. In fact, Flex Wheeler had a hereditary kidney disease. Undoubtedly, application of anabolic steroids contributed to the complications. But did the bodybuilder administer anabolic steroids correctly? Did he follow reasonable instructions connected with dosages and length of usage? No, he didn’t. The bodybuilder took very enhanced doses of steroids. Furthermore, he applied these drugs prolonged period of time. In addition to these factors, the former American bodybuilder administered also other medications that had negative influence on his kidneys. So, steroids should not be blamed for Flex Wheeler’s health problems.
As it has been already mentioned, another case is connected with the former bodybuilder Luke Wood. His death followed after a kidney transplant, being a young man. The media also chose to demonize anabolic steroids in this case. It was affirmed that anabolic steroids caused kidney disorders in Luke Wood. But you should be informed that Luke Wood took not only anabolic steroids. He used also insulin, pain drugs, DNP and other medications that influenced on the kidneys negatively. So, it is impossible to affirm that steroids were responsible for his kidney failure and death.
According to many experts, if anabolic steroids are applied properly, serious kidney dysfunctions don’t occur.
